Sorry?

Kisumai : F2 - ah...!
Okay. I know I really haven't been active/alive on LJ in like, a while. Or I haven't really done anything useful, I guess.

Mostly because I've been sick for the longest time (or, well, 2~3 months) and had to deal with school, work, family problems, etc. all at the same time. I'm still alive and everything (thankfully) though I really haven't had the energy to really do much actual useful things like homework and translating stuff.

For those who happen to care, I've been to a walk in clinic several times now, including today, and they think I have something wrong with my gallbladder and I have to go to a hospital for more tests over my Thanksgiving break. Iiiiick. For those of you who don't know, I hate doctors/hospitals/etc. With a passion. So I'm definitely not looking forward to this. Especially considering that if it's not something 'simple' like gallstones I may end up having to have relatively major surgery. Dx

I'm really hoping I get better soon, since on December 6th I have to fly up to Chicago for a day for the JLPT (Level 1!! 頑張るよ~… 合格できんのかな?) and then December 14th I'm heading over to Japan... -whine- I don't have time for thiiiissss.

I Blame the Ebikisu Random Generator.

ABC-Z : Hasshi/Tottsu - male bonding
I officially have my flight(s) for going to/from Japan this winter break~, yay~! ♥ On December 14th I'll be leaving from my local airport at 6:00am (ick, that means getting TO the airport at like, 4:30 or 5.) and having a 2 hour 20 minute layover in San Fransisco (9:55am to 12:15pm SF time, 11:55am to 2:15pm my time zone) before taking off on a approximately 11 hour 15 minute plane ride to Narita Airport in Japan, which will land at 4:45pm Japan Time on December 15th (1:45am my time zone... ugh.) after which I will be finding my way to [info]snowqueenofhoth 's apartment (after probably around 2 hours on trains) and will try not to but will probably crash right away.

After staying there for maybe around a week (KISUMAI CON AT YOKOARI ON THE 20TH) I'll probably head up to Gunma and stay there for the rest of my stay, visiting my friends from when I was in Japan and having an awesome time. Still haven't arranged a hotel for that (since my host family is going to be out of prefecture in that time period) but it'll happen.

Then on the 5th of January I will depart from Narita Airport at 6:15pm, layover in SanFran again, and then back to my not-so-glorious life here in Kansas. Sigh. But anyway.

Aslkdjf. So excited. IT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. I don't even have words to describe the feelings. xD For the past two days there have just been random moments when I actually physically flail a bit when I think about it. Random note: Flailing in the middle of classes makes you get lots of strange stares.

AND THAT'S ONLY A MONTH AWAY.

So, now for the reason of the title of this post. I was messing around with the Ebikisu Random Generator for laughs and this came out. I promise I'll be on task at some point, promise.

Kimi no Happy Birthday~

Kisumai : Nika - thinking
Yesterday was a pretty awesome birthday~. ♥ Though I guess the awesomeness wasn't just restricted to yesterday.

On Friday at school this one girl who I'm pretty sure I've only told my birthday one time came to me at lunch with a plate of brownies she had made! Nobody at school has ever remembered my birthday even when I tell them every single day of the week before that my birthday is "next week on the 7th", so I was really surprised and happy and it totally made my day.

Then my actual birthday was pretty freaking awesome, too. I spent my whole morning sitting around chatting with people like [info]dritree , [info]crazy_otaku911 and [info]snowqueenofhoth ... Izzi (dritree) said she's sending my present through the mail, but she won't tell me what it is, so it's like a;lskdjf, I wanna know now! But I have to wait until whatever it is gets here. Curiosity killed the cat.

Then I went out with this one girl who went to my school in Japan, Chinatsu, who now goes to a community college here. First we bought stuff and made brownies/cake, then went to eat at this one Japanese restaurant not too far away. And I got to eat curry and actual good sushi! Then we spent a lot of random time in Borders (book shop) while waiting for it to be time for the movie we were going to to start.

The movie, Paranormal Activity, is freaking scary! Though it was an awesome movie.

We then came back and ate the brownies/cake that we'd made before I drove her home and such.

Then this Thursday I get to buy my plane ticket to Japan for this winter break... I'm so excited~! The Kisumai concert at YokoAri, and then I'll get to go see all of my friends up in Gunma. I can't wait, I miss them all soooooo much. ♥ ♥

My online friends are too amazing. Like, seriously. I probably couldn't survive without you guys. So thanks for everything. ♥

Anyway, now that my moment of sappiness is over... -cough-

I'm sick. Again. Seriously, I don't think I've gone a full two weeks without being sick in the past three or four months. I wanna be healthy~...

Basically, this is basically a pointless post for me to whine and be a sap. xD;;

Happy Birthday Izzi!

Big happy birthday to [info]dritree ~. I have work so I can't actually be online when it actually becomes her birthday, so I'm posting this now!

Unfortunately, that image is all I have to show for a birthday present for her. >< So... It's the thought that counts?

Kisumai : Nika - Nika-chan da yo~
I get a phone upgrade, yay~! ♥

Finally. Because my phone is so. old. But now I get a nice new one. And phone internet. Which will make me not have to hack into the severely limited school internet on my iPod.

But, yeah. My old phone (LG VX5400), and my new phone (Samsung Intensity in Flamingo Red). Squee. It should be here on Tuesday. Random: my Japanese phone.

Um. Other random stuff. I went shopping today. And actually enjoyed it. =O That's sort of something that happens never with me. And I got a skirt. And leggings. Which, like, with me... Wow. But I'm actually excited to wear my new clothes. I'm ignoring the fact that I spent over $100... I needed new clothes, since in my whole, full walk in closet less than 1/4 of it is stuff I actually wear (most of it is old stuff that doesn't fit) and more than 3/4 of that 1/4 is just school activity related t-shirts.

Yeah. I sort of fail.

But... new clothes! I got a full outfit and then more stuff... So, the outfit: shoes, leggings, skirt, a t-shirt, a hoodie, and a black sort of more dressy winter coat/jacket. Then the extra stuff: another t-shirt and a reversible hoodie. I'm going to wear some of my new stuff tomorrow so maybe I'll be so excited I'll take a picture and just post it on here or something. Since nobody at my school will notice. xD

Oh, and because the friend I went with dared me, I bought the 'D!rty Japanese' book from the mall book store. After, well, sitting there and reading it and other similar books and giggling like idiots for around an hour.

It's moments like these when I really feel my age (so much younger than most of my LJ friends ><). Oh well. I'm mature most of the time. Really.

Way to Start a Day

  • Oct. 14th, 2009 at 5:42 AM
Kisumai : Senga - emoing
On the way to school today I got in a car wreck.

And just to start with: I'm completely okay. Well, extremely sore, but nothing's missing or broken. My car hardly looks any worse for wear, and only has a few small dents and scratches.

Anyway. A few cars in front of me somebody stopped suddenly for some reason. Everybody slammed on their breaks. The car directly in front of me stopped so suddenly their car half spun sideways. I slammed on my breaks and barely missed running into them. And although it seemed like a long time (though that may just be because of the whole adrenaline thing) but then the girl behind me's car slammed into the back of mine.

The other two cars drove away quickly, my car rolled forward a bit but I parked it and turned it off. When I got out to look the girl who rammed me's car was completely totaled. The whole front was smashed in. Later on (the other girl goes to my school) I found out that she ended up breaking her foot.

And yeah. Standing out in freaking near freezing weather in a t-shirt for two hours. (Though why I was wearing a t-shirt in weather like that anyway is my own fault.) Not fun.

There Goes My Life?

Kisumai : Miyata - stay away
So. I got moved to another project at work~. So now I get to work until 10:30pm on my work nights. Which is, like, two extra hours per day which is really good. But, y'know, I'm not going to get much sleep at all and won't really have time for a normal life. My life will basically be...

5:00~6:00am - wake up, 7:30am - leave for school, 8:00am~3:00pm - school, 3:00~3:30/4:00pm - Japan Club, 4:00/4:30 ~ 10:30pm - work, 11:00pm - get home, 11:00pm~1:00am - homework, 1:00~5:00/6:00am - sleep?

I'm gonna diiiieeeee.

Oh. And randomly, Japan Club. I'm the president for my school. It's pretty darn awesome because we just play Japanese games and do rajio taisou and stuff like that. And I'm in charge of it. >D I swear we'll do something productive at some point. Possibly.

Kisumai wo Abake!

  • Oct. 12th, 2009 at 3:37 AM
Kisumai : Nika - lol!
Um. So. I'm supposed to be doing a lot of other things like studying for the PSAT, studying for the JLPT, translating the stuff on my to do list, doing homework, cleaning my room, doing laundry, etc. But. Um. Yeah. This happened.

Enjoy? xD

Who are you?! WHO?! )

So. This is quite a bit harder to translate than magazines or even anime because they all start speaking at once. xD But I think I got the most important parts where it's not all completely unintelligible?

What To Do...

  • Oct. 11th, 2009 at 10:44 PM
Kisumai : Nika - unsure
On the site where I'm looking to buy tickets to the Kisumai con there are tickets that I definitely could afford, even now. But the thing I don't know is if I'll be able to save up enough to even be able to go and stay there. So if I bought one now, but was then unable to go, it'd be completely useless.... But if I waited to buy one the prices might go way up and I wouldn't be able to afford a ticket.

どうしよっかぁ…

My mom (despite how crazy she is/can be) said she'd help pay for it if she could... And that's the main catch. If she can. With the economy as messed up as it is, she hasn't been able to get all the hours she needs and at the moment can barely afford to pay for all of the random stuff my brother (and I, partially) 'can't live without'. My brother: 500 channels of television, his Blackberry phone (which he doesn't even use unless he's at home, which kills the point). Me: internet, a car to get to and from school/work.

Around nine weeks left that I would work. If I work all of the hours I can possibly work I can make around $240 a week (if I don't get my incentive of an extra $1.35 per hour...) and that would be $2160. But my mom also wants me to pay  my car insurance ($250ish a month. Ick.) which I know I should do, but.... waaaah.

And I'm going to have to miss some work to do this stupid after school meeting that my English teacher requires or we don't get a huge part of our grade. And then to go take the JLPT right at the start of December.

I know there are people in a lot worse situations than me. And people who want to go the concerts but can't no matter what they do. But... I also want to go back for the rest of winter break to see all of my friends from when I was in Japan on a foreign exchange? I don't have any good reason to give for why I'm so whiny about this, but I just really want to get there.

I'm Sick?

  • Sep. 29th, 2009 at 11:33 AM
Kisumai : Yokoo - pwnage
So. Apparently I've been really, really sick for the past few days.

But I didn't know it.

How does that happen, you may ask. I don't know. But my family has this one ear thermometer that I just use a lot for sheer amusement. Usually it reads me at around 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celcius), but for the past three or four days I've been using it and it's been giving me temperatures of 100 (37.7) degrees or more, generally between 101 (38.3) and 102.5 (39.17)

I just thought it was broken, but this time I told my mom about it and she tried it on her and my little brother, but it still read them at normal temperatures. So I'm just really sick. And have been for the past three or more days.

My symptoms are not being able to sleep, having a little bit of a clogged up throat, and craving chocolate and chocolate to no end.

I'm still confused. xD

Lack of Time?

Kisumai : Yokoo - that-a-way
Sorry for really not being on the ball recently, everyone. >< Especially since I have all those translations on my to do list.

Although technically I 'don't have time', between school and work and homework, I actually really haven't been doing much of my homework and just sit around like now not really doing anything except chatting to friends. But everything's just really tiring and I can't bring myself to really translate anymore. If you'd like to take whatever you have on the list off, just go ahead and ask.

So for those of you on the translation list, sorry for that. >< Also, for the people who have bought magazines from me and are still waiting, with my work I'm never free during post office opening hours, but I will send them ASAP and tell you when I do. I don't know if the super market post offices (the only ones I could possibly have time to go to unless I have a day off) have the shipping boxes or envelopes I need. Thursday is my scheduled day off, but I really need money at the moment so I'm going to be taking as many hours as they'll let me.

So... yeah. It'll happen. Soon.

I GOT A JOB

  • Sep. 21st, 2009 at 3:27 AM
ABC-Z : Tsuka - whee! happy
I finally got a job. ♥

I got the call to arrange the interview yesterday, had the interview today, and I start working tomorrow. こういうのアリ!? I sort of can't believe it~.

I'm going to be working at a phone surveying company and calling people to ask about how they like certain products/services. Apparently one of the main reasons I got the job is because I can read difficult words and names and speak clearly. Ya~y.

Best of all, I'll get paid, like, $9 an hour. YES.

Sleeping Directions?

  • Sep. 11th, 2009 at 9:30 AM
Kisumai: Tama - EPIC FAIL
Okay. So. Doesn't have to be answered, but how many of you actually know that in Feng Shui there are sleeping directions that are good for people and whatnot? Yes, no, whatever... Anyway. I had interest in this sort of thing a while ago and decided to look it up again.

I also figured out which direction the head of my bed faces. East.

So I found the site I used before and looked up which directions are my good and bad directions. This is how it turned out.

My good directions are... NW ; Sheng Qi (Prosperity), SW ; Tian Yi (Health), NE ; Yen Nian (Relationship), W ; Fu Wei (Mild Good Luck).
And my bad directions... N ; Ho Hai (Mild Bad Luck), S ; Wu Gui (Quarrel), SE ; Liu Sha (Separation), E ; Jue Ming (Total Loss).

WTF. I am sleeping in the direction that will give me total loss. Could this explain why I can't get a job? Why I've gotten sick so many times since coming back from Japan and starting to sleep here? I don't necessarily believe in this sort of thing, just find it interesting, but how creepy/strange/ironic is that?

And just also randomly, my mom also sleeps in her "Total Loss" direction, and my brother in the "Separation" one. Major house rearranging in order.

Yeah. Random. -whacked-

This was another request of [info]moha144 's. Unfortunately, she only had the page with Hasshi on it, so that's what I'll translate. There are two more people who were in the article with him (Sanada Yuma and possibly Kamei Taku?) and although Sanada's answers were on the page with Hasshi's picture his picture wasn't there...

If anybody happens to have the rest of this article I'd be glad to translate the rest~.
Thanks to [info]ssm_kiyumi for finding/providing the remaining page of the article. ♥
